LTISD School Board Election
View more videos about the candidates and their qualifications here.
There are three contested seats in 2025 (on the seven member board) that will be on the ballot on May 3rd. V4P is endorsing the two educators running against Jennifer Fleck's "DOGE candidates" in this election. We are supporting Jonathan Bove, who is running in place 4 against John Severance. Unlike Severance, Jonathan is a trained educator who actually has children in LTISD. He also has significant experience working with budgets and mental health. We are also endorsing Kris Woodcock, who is running in place 5 against Craig Cancienne (who was backed by the LT Families PAC and We the People last year and was defeated by Phillip Davis). Unlike Cancienne, Kris opposes book bans and is a career educator (who also worked at ATPE) who has real district experience serving on the LTISD SHAC committee for three years.

More about V4P's Role in Public Education & School Board Elections
The 2024 LTISD School Board election was really a David and Goliath story. Lake Travis Familes PAC and their candidates had enormous financial resources, professional political strategists, and support of local and state politicians. But in the end, David won! Our community voted for the experienced educators (Lauren White and Dr. Phillip Davis) who were qualified to lead our district through our current environment of defunding public education.
As it becomes increasingly likely that Texas will pass vouchers this year, it becomes so important that LTISD regain it's leadership position in public schools. Our district has slipped in academics, transparency, SPED and real leadership in the past years. That is a direct result of having a school board composed of members who have no experience in education. We need change! We need a board who is truly qualified in and dedicated to public education to lead our district to ensure our students and tax dollars stay in LTISD!
With your help and support, we can restore good leadership and quality education for ALL students in LTISD. This is truly a grassroots effort, funded by people who have no political ties but just want to support public education in LTISD. We don't pay fancy political strategists to do the work. We don't pay people to put up signs and door hangers. It's all volunteers. You can learn more about our financials here.
