LTISD School Board Election

Jonathan Bove & Kris Woodcock Won!

On May 3rd, 2025, Jonathan Bove defeated John Severance and Kris Woodcock defeated Craig Cancienne in the LTISD school board election! They won by less than 300 votes. Just another reminder that hard work is critical and every vote counts. The results of this election clearly show the community valued the candidates who listened to them and focused on educational issues, instead of waging baseless attacks on social media and leveraging local politicians to play political games. LTISD needs school board trustees who are there for the right reasons – who are there to fight to improve LTISD for the students and teachers. Those new leaders are Jonathan Bove and Kris Woodcock!

Voices for Progress was started in 2017 as a community LLC organization, focused on community-building and education. In response to many conservative PACs (i.e. Lake Travis Families PAC) coming into the community in 2021 and 2022 with a lot of money and professional backing, V4P decided to change our legal status to become a PAC. We still focus on community building and education, but we also have hundreds of local donors and volunteers who work tirelessly during campaigns to support candidates who are aligned to the V4P pillars - PRO public education, sustainable development and inclusion.

V4P had success in 2024 when we endorsed LTISD school board members/candidates, Lauren White and Dr. Phillip Davis. In 2025, we had success again supporting candidates, Jonathan Bove and Kris Woodcock. This was accomplished because the Lake Travis citizens united to fight for their values and wanted to make their voices heard.

We will continue to build on 2024 and 2025 to ensure all voices are represented in the Lake Travis area. The best way you can help is to become a V4P member, and sign up for a monthly recurring donation
